“I am assuring Ndi Anambra that the error will be corrected. Soludo is the candidate of our party, and we’re hopeful he will be the next governor of the state,” he said.
Obiano said he flew from Lagos to Anambra within 45 minutes, and that landing at the airport was very comfortable. He praised his own work, saying that he is proud of it.
He said: “I decided to fly from Lagos straight to Anambra so that I can test my own work. My flight was just 45 minutes from Lagos to Anambra, and landing was a good experience.”
Obiano had last year commenced the airport project.
In April, two passenger aeroplanes belonging to AirPeace and a private jet had landed at the airport on a test-run mission.
The governor who has been away for about two weeks was received at the airport by Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and his running mate, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezi, Anambra State executive council members, House of Assembly members led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Victor Okafor, traditional rulers and lots of APGA party faithful.
