Governor Theodore Orji of Abia state says all the legacy projects his administration embarked upon will be completed before the expiration of his tenure in 2015.
He stated this while answering questions from newsmen after inspecting some on-going projects in Umuahia to ascertain the progress of work.
The governor said that the multi billion naira projects are progressing according to government’s plans based on the resources available, adding that Abians should judge him on that basis.
He expressed happiness that the contractors were doing a good job.
At the Ubani Ibeku new market, chief Orji said facilities were being put in place, noting that light has been connected to the market, while the fire service building, the motor park have been completed.
He also inspected the new low and middle income housing estate under construction close to Ubani Ibeku modern market where he assured that the houses will be ready for occupation in the next five months.
According to him, the houses will be affordable for civil servants,and disclosed his intention to park into the new government house before the end of his tenure.Work at almost all the sites visited are progressing steadily.
