The joint secretariat of Citizens Advocacy Group and Project Nigeria; organizers of the forthcoming National Political Summit on the future of Nigeria tagged Uyo 2013, have stumbled on a sinister ploy by some highly placed Nigerians to destabilize the platform for the much anticipated national negotiations opening on Monday in Uyo
Addressing the press on Thursday in Abuja, Malam Naseer Kura; Summit Head of Communications said since the announcement of the upcoming national family meeting on national security and political stability, some elements ostensibly representing certain ethnic and partisan agenda in the country have been surreptitiously working against the success of the summit.
“Notwithstanding the contrived plots to destabilize the summit, organizers have continued to receive calls and encouragement from well meaning Nigerians who have been expressing their excitement and optimism for the timely pan Nigerian and non partisan intervention against the background of the current challenges faced by Nigeria in the areas of political stability and national security” Kura said
He also revealed that irrespective of the creepy moves and campaign of calumny by ‘egoistic and discredited politicians’, ninety percent of the eminent Nigerians invited to play key roles at the historic national summit have already confirmed their participation to the summit organisers

The summit also seized the opportunity to clear the air on the latest intervention, which was broached at a meeting of Project Nigeria held in Lagos in January this year, where elder statesmen; Prof Ben Nwabueze, SAN and Alhaji Dr Maitama Sule agreed to facilitate a pan Nigeria national dialogue between the North and South on the stability of Nigeria
He further clarified that the latest gathering in Akwa Ibom is also a continuation of Project Nigeria national dialogue series and Citizens’
Advocacy Group technical support for stability in Nigeria, which started in Abuja Transcorp Hilton Hotel on Friday May 27th 2011 followed by a major assembly at Port Harcourt Presidential Hotel on August 26th and 27th 2011 and a national parley hosted by the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC on December 7th 2012 in Abuja as well as the National Dialogue held at Sheraton Hotels, Lagos in September 2012
Kura, a Kano born political strategist and former President of NANS in the early 90s, however informed that strategic logistics for the successful hosting of the summit have been put together by the Citizens Advocacy Groups and its partners in Project Nigeria ,stressing that full details of summit confirmations, logistic and final draft programme will be made public by the group on Sunday in Abuja
