The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has filed multiple charges against Samuel Ojeogwu, the younger brother of popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, Ojeogwu was arraigned alongside three others over allegations of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.
Adeh explained that the case stemmed from a petition received by the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025, accusing the suspects of forcefully entering a property and engaging in violent conduct.
“Following a petition received by the FCT Metro Area Command on October 28, 2025, against one Samuel Ojeogwu and three others, the suspects were arrested and subsequently charged to court for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft,”
Adeh stated.
The police spokesperson noted that investigations were concluded promptly, and the defendants have since been brought before a competent court to answer to the allegations.
This development comes amid renewed public attention on Regina Daniels’ relationship with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North in the National Assembly.
Ned Nwoko, 64, a billionaire politician and businessman, is best known for his polygamous marriage to Regina Daniels, who rose to fame as a child actress in Nollywood. The couple’s union in 2019 when Regina was barely 20 years old sparked nationwide controversy, with many critics accusing the senator of exploiting his wealth and influence to marry the young star.
Despite initial criticism, the marriage appeared stable for years and significantly boosted Nwoko’s public profile, especially during his 2023 senatorial bid, where Regina’s fame among youths and Nollywood fans helped endear him to voters in Delta North.
However, recent months have seen growing tension between Regina and her husband, with reports suggesting that family disagreements and political pressures have strained their relationship. While both parties have remained mostly silent publicly, Regina’s social media posts and absence from Nwoko’s political events have fueled speculation of a rift.
The police case involving her brother has therefore drawn additional public interest, given the family’s high-profile status and ongoing controversies.
