Soldiers Kill Nine Boko Haram Suspects In Damboa

Military Forces in Borno State  says it shot dead  nine suspected Boko
Haram terrorist yesterday night  in  Rimanti- Alagarno Village Damboa
local government area of Borno state.

The terrorist who were said to have been killed inside their camp left
many other fleeing members seriously injured .

Spokesman of the Military in Borno State,Lt. Col Muhammad Dole confirm the
incident in a  statement today.

” In  a midnight encounter with the Boko Haram terrorists,  the Nigerian
Army, 7 Division killed nine Boko Haram terrorist, while others fled with
various degree of injuries along Rimanti-Alagarno road in Damboa local
government area of Borno state on Thursday 14th November 2013.” Dole said.

The  spokesman added  that  ” a soldier sustained injury during the
encounter with the terrorists and he is currently responding to treatement
at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH).”

“During the encounter  large arms and ammunitions were and 2 pick up
vehicles are destroyed, while a pick up vehicle, 3 motorcycles were
recovered. The Spokesman said

The spokesman stated that the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army has
intensified patrol in the deep forest of Damboa and Gwoza local government
areas of Borno state, in remote and isolated villages and towns with a
view to prevent incessant attacks by the insurgents.

He said the insurgents were frustrated by the attacks launched on their
camps and their arms’ and vehicle destroyed and that the military is
closing a rank on them.

Lt. Col. Dole stated that the General Officer Commanding, the 7 Division
of the Nigerian Army, Major General Obidah Ethan commended the general
public and residence in particular for their  cooperation and their
efforts in exposing the hideouts and activities of the sect.
