Tempers Spike As Arik Airline Leaves Passengers Stranded

by Our Reporter

Scores of Abuja-bound Arik Airline passengers were Friday stranded in Lagos as several flights were delayed for hours.

The delay, which for some flights lasted for as long as eight hours, tested the patience of the passengers.

Pointblanknews.com gathered that but for the intervention of airport security officials, some irate passengers would have gone physical.

Some distraught passengers told Pointblanknews.com on the telephone that they had been at the airport for flights as early as 10am flight, but were still at the airport at about 7pm.

One passenger claimed to have booked a Lagos-Owerri flight scheduled for 9am, but was at about 8pm unable to get a flight.

Pointblanknews.com was not able to get an official reaction from the airline. However, a staff who spoke on the condition of anonymity blamed the delays on “Christmas rush.”
