Prominent Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has dismissed recent rumors about drug use, revealing that she voluntarily took a drug test to prove she has never used hard drugs. “The results speak for themselves,” she said.
“I want to make it very clear, I was never on hard drugs,” Daniels told reporters. “I decided to take a drug test myself because I didn’t want any false stories spreading about me.”
The actress, who has been the subject of online speculation in recent weeks, after her husband , Senator Ned Nwoko publicly accused her of addiction to hard drugs, emphasized her commitment to a clean and healthy lifestyle.
“I live my life responsibly, and I will continue to focus on my career and my family,” she added.
Daniels’ decision to address the rumors directly has won praise from fans, who commended her for taking a proactive stand.
She urged the public to be cautious with unverified information, saying,
“It’s important for people to think twice before sharing stories about others. I hope my actions today put the matter to rest.”
Her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, is yet to issue any statement on the matter. He had previously publicly accused Daniels of addiction to hard drugs, even naming individuals he claimed were aiding her alleged indulgence.
Nwoko had tied her “disturbing” behavior to this supposed addiction and vowed that she would not have access to their children until she underwent a comprehensive rehabilitation program.
As one of Nollywood’s most influential young actresses, Regina Daniels continues to shine in her film career while building a strong presence in the entertainment industry. Her latest clarification reinforces her commitment to protecting her reputation amid growing media scrutiny. It’s left to be seen if her marriage to Senator Nwoko would be revived.
