Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have intensified offensive operations against Boko Haram and ISWAP elements across Borno State, leading to the neutralisation of terrorists, destruction of enclaves and the surrender of 11 fighters.
According to a statement signed by the Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, sustained operations along the Azir–Wajiroko axis forced 11 terrorists to surrender with their AK-47 rifles and assorted ammunition.
The statement said that on January 9, 2026, OPHK troops conducted extensive clearance operations in the Bulaagalda cluster, where several terrorist camps and enclaves were destroyed at Dagumba, Bonne, Yaganari, Gosuri and Umchile.
“During the operations, troops dismantled life-support structures, degraded terrorist logistics and recovered items including terrorist flags, weapons and magazines,” the statement said.
It added that similar offensives carried out in the Yale and Bula Gaida areas compelled fleeing terrorists to abandon additional logistics facilities, which were subsequently destroyed. Troops also recovered weapons, ammunition and a general-purpose machine gun during the operations.
In a related development, acting on credible intelligence, OPHK troops engaged JAS/ISWAP elements between Sojiri and Kayamla villages, resulting in the neutralisation of eight terrorists and the recovery of several AK-47 rifles.
The statement further disclosed that two suspected terrorist logistics collaborators were arrested in Gubio Local Government Area for allegedly supplying logistics to terrorist groups.
The military assured that operations would continue relentlessly until all terrorist threats in the North East are neutralised.
