The wife of the Delta State Governor, Mrs. Roli Sheila Uduaghan, has commended the Delta State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) for sympathizing with her and the entire family over the demise of their mother, Late Mama Rebecca Ayomike.

Mrs. Uduaghan who gave the commendation while receiving a high-powered delegation of journalists led by the NUJ State Council Chairman, Comrade Norbert Chiazor, in Warri over the weekend said that the visit apart from strengthening her has also shown that journalists in the state also share in the family’s grief.

While describing death as inevitable and to all mortals, she admonished those living to walk in the path of righteousness so as to receive God’s welcome on the last day.

Earlier, Comrade Norbert Chiazor said the visit was in appreciation and recognition of the cordial and warm relationship that exists between the Delta State government and the state Council, calling for its sustenance for the mutual benefit of both parties.

The Delta State NUJ Boss who said journalists in the state share in the grief of the Ayomike’s family, urged Mrs. Roli Uduaghan and the entire family to take solace in the fact that Mama Rebecca lived a life worthy of emulation.

He particularly called on all and sundry to emulate the humble lifestyle of Mrs. Uduaghan, noting that despite the fact that her father was once a Military Administrator and the husband currently a Governor, such fame did not go into her head as, according to him, she has remained humble in all her life and dealings with others.

Comrade Chiazor assured the bereaved of the Council’s constant prayers to wither all storms that may come their way just as he promised that journalists in the state would equally be there for them during the burial ceremony.
