The Ubakala Police station in Umuahia South Local Government Area, Abia State, has been set ablaze by unknown gunmen.
The attack which took place at the early hours of Monday morning saw the hoodlums set fire on the main building of the station and exhibit vehicles after they over powered policemen guarding the station.
It was also gathered that no life was lost in the incident. However, it could not be confirmed if the hoodlums looted the armoury of the station.
As usual, Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mrs Janet Agbede did not respond to calls and text message made to her mobile number as at press time.
