Vanguard Good Governance Award: Elumelu Congratulates Gov Oborevwori.

Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on winning the Vanguard Newspapers Governor of the Year Award on Good Governance.
Vanguard Newspapers Limited, a flagship Newspaper in Nigeria on Friday, in a well-attended event, conferred the award to the Governor in Lagos, Nigeria.
Elumelu in his congratulatory message, praised Governor Oborevwori and described him as a great achiever who has demonstrated good governance since taking office less than two years ago.
He emphasized that the award coming weeks after a similar one from THISDAY Newspapers and Arise Television in January, attests to the Governor’s genuine efforts in bringing about positive change to Delta State
Elumelu explained that Governor Oborevwori’s administration has continued to be recognized for its efforts in driving growth and development in Delta State and said that his commitment to good governance and leadership has earned him numerous awards and accolades.
The former House Minority Leader highlighted the Governor’s efforts in building enduring infrastructure across the state, implementation of life-impacting empowerment programs for Deltans and demonstrating exceptional leadership and vision for the state’s development.
“Your Excellency, this award as Governor of the Year, coming from a reputable organization, Vanguard Newspapers, is a testament to your giant strides in less than two years in office.
“On this auspicious occasion, I join millions of Deltans to celebrate and congratulate you on this well-deserved honor,” Elumelu said.
The Vanguard Personality of the Year Award is an annual event aimed at honouring Nigerians who have made significant contributions to national development and social progress.
Other governors recognised for their outstanding leadership were Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Abba Yusuf (Kano), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Charles Soludo (Anambra), and Hope Uzodinma (Imo).
Other awardees included Kaine Edike as Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Sir Emeka Offor as Businessman of the Year, Oba Adedokun Abolarin as Education Icon, Lady Mary Dinah for Humanitarian Service, Manish Mandhana as Private Sector Icon, Wale Adeniyi as Public Sector Icon, and William of Tetraco Energy as Energy Icon.
