Governorship candidate of All Progressives Candidate (APC), High Chief Ikechi Emenike was today spotted at Nigerian Police Officers Mess in Umuahia with One Hundred million Naira (N100,000,000), cash in new N1,000 notes.
Arriving the Police Officers’ mess located at Factory road, Umuahia, the APC candidate met with the Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Commissioner of Police, Deputy and Assistant Commissioners of Police and other officers in the zonal and Abia commands including Divisional Police Officers in the state.
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that the money is for distribution to the officers and men of the force to induce them to work for his victory during Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections on
Pointblanknews.com further gathered arrangement for the payment of the N100,000,000.00 was brokered by a visiting Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police and the state Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Muhammed Bala, who previously worked in Imo State with Governor Hope Uzodinma as Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Emenike later moved to Ohafia where senior military officers are said to be waiting for him.
Early last week, Governor Hope Uzodinma had hosted a secret meeting at the Imo State Government House, Owerri, with the heads of security and INEC in Abia State to perfect plans to rig the forthcoming election in favor of Emenike.
A close associate of Emenike confirmed that Uzodinma allegedly gave an initial two billion Naira (N2,000,000,000.00) to Emenike so that he can pay party agents, INEC officials and security agents in Abia to prepare ground for an electoral magic that is similar to what happened in Imo State four years ago, where Uzodinma who placed fourth in the Imo governorship poll was later declared Governor by the Supreme Court.
