No less than twenty seven persons including innocent Civilians and youth vigilante group aka ” Civilian JTF” have been killed between Wednesday and Thursday in separate attacks by suspected Boko Haram members in Fulatari and Kanumburi wards of Gamboru , Ngala local government Area, Borno State.
A total of Six people were killed in the first attack while four others sustained injuries in Fulatari while twenty one people lost their lives in the second attack which include the Village Head of Gamboru, Lawan Ali Shettima with two others sustaining bullet injuries and are now receiving treatment says Caretaker Chairman of Ngala Modu Gana Bukar Sherriff today in Maiduguri.
” The suspected Boko Haram members carried out the first attack at about eleven o’clock in the evening of wednesday while the second was carried out last Thursday at about ten o’clock in the evening killing 27 people in both attacks .” Bukar said.
But in swift reaction a member of civilian JTF, Jibrilla Adamu said the attack will not deter them from protecting the people rather it will encourage them continue to protect innocent civilians against Boko Haram terrorist.
The Caretaker Chairman of Ngala Alhaji Modu Gana Bukar Sherriff has also paid condolence visit to families of those who lost their lives.
Visibly touched by the killings carnage the Chairman described the attacks as heinous crime against humanity which must be condemned by all right thinking persons.
He enjoined relatives of those killed to take solace in Allah with fortitude over the loss and prayed Allah to grant the deceased eternal peace.
The Chairman has also donated five hundred thousand naira and two hundred bags of rice to the Civilian JTF who also lost their colleagues in the attack.
He also presented one hundred thousand naira and four bags of rice to each family of the victims.
He assured them of his continued support at all time and urged them not to relent in their efforts towards protecting lives and property of the people.
The Chairman also used the forum to distribute over two thousand four hundred bags of Rice donated by the state government to people of the area to cushion hardship of the people caused by the crisis.
He appealed to the people of the area to support civilian JTF and the laudable policies and programmes of Governor Kashim Shettima and cooperate with security personnel.
