Jonathan To Inaugurate Akwa Ibom Governor’s Office Complex

President Goodluck Jonathan is to inaugurate the new Akwa Ibom Governor’s office complex on Saturday

Mr Aniekan Umanah, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, made this known via a statement in Uyo on Thursday.

He said that the president would also perform the foundation-laying ceremony of the new stadium in Uyo.

“The new Governor’s Office, is an architectural masterpiece. It consists of a conference room, a lounge, a multi-media studio, a press room and an executive council chambers with videoconferencing facilities, among others,’’ he said.

Besides, Umanah said that the 30,000-sitting capacity stadium had some striking features, which included a multi-purpose layout with running tracks and a two-tier seating arrangement.

He added that other features of the stadium included an excellent viewing arena, a football pitch and an eight-lane 400m standard track, among others.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Jonathan had visited Akwa Ibom thrice this year to inaugurate some projects. (NAN)
