NASS Security In Free-for-all Over Zulum’s Cash Gift

by Our Reporter
No fewer than a dozen of security men engaged in a free-for-all as the scrambled to access cash gift handed by an aide to the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum at the outer court of the national assembly recently.
In a video uploaded by the website of a prominent newspaper website, security men were seen rolling over themselves in a bid to clinch the Naira Notes.
Checks reveal that that those captured in the video were neither plain-clothes police operatives nor personnel of the Department of State Services (DSS), but resident parliamentary security men, popularly known as Sergeant-at-Arms.
It could be recalled that penultimate Wednesday, fight broke out among these personnel of the Sergeant-at-Arms office at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja over the shearing of a cash gift that was allegedly given to them by the visiting Governor Zulum.
But the show of shame was, however, reported in the media as having involved police operatives and DSS personnel.
Zulum, who was on a special visit at the National Assembly purportedly gave out the cash gift after addressing the press.
