I was driving back from the 6:30 mass this morning when my friend Ado
Audu Nmadu called me to ask whether I have seen the majornews headline in
today’s ‘official Boko Haram newspaper’? I told Ado he is at his antics
again but which is the official Boko Haram newspaper and what is the news
all the same?
Ado told me that I need to see a map on the front page of Sunday Trust of
today which fell into our perfect argument yesterday morning. The
yesterday morning in question was Saturday the 20th of September.
I was just moaning to Ado about how the BBC Hausa service refused to air
my view about the 2015 election despite many several calls to the number
they provided for listeners to call them.
We were just discussing generally on national politics, international
politics and sundry affairs.
Our argument was hot, objective yet respectfully.
Ado and I agreed that the International Community neglected Nigeria at the
mercy of Boko Haram most probably because we are black people and hence
they concentrated they energy on Syria and Iraq.
Ado and I also agreed that the black race has itself to blame for its woes
since they value the foreign religions of Islam and Christianity on which
ideology they now kill fellow blacks.
Ado and I also agreed that the adaption of Goodluck Jonathan by their PDP
is a democratic practise in organised democracies where the incumbent is
always give the “The right of first refusal”
Ado and I also agreed that the insecurity in the Northern part of Nigeria
was created by the political class in order to enhance their chances of
grapping power in 2015 but is now hidden under the cloak of Islam to
enhance its potency knowing very well how gullible most Northern Nigeria
Muslims are.
Ado and I also agreed that more states should created to enhance
development particularly considering the creation and opening of new
airports in Gombe, Uyo, Birnin Kebbi, Asaba and lately Dutse in Jigawa
States.
We also agreed that where new states are created, most of the new states
will create state universities which will enhance higher education in
Nigeria.
More states will open up more rural areas if we consider how rural places
like Dutse, Damaturu, Osogbo, Jalingo, and particularly Lafia were before
they were made states capital.
Ado and I equally agreed on the need for referendum in Nigeria especially
on our type of federalism considering how successful and peaceful it was
in Scotland.
The differences between Ado and I came to the fore whether elections
should hold in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States in 2015 or not! I think
that was why my friend called me to check the ‘Boko Haram map’ in Sunday
Trust as it were.
But why Mallam Ado decided to call the Daily Trust the official newspaper
of Boko Haram, I have no idea.
If you seek my opinion, I will rather call the BBC Hausa service the
official broadcast media of Boko Haram.
I am sure if the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) top management are
aware of how their Hausa service section is actively promoting the Boko
Haram Islamic terrorist activity through massive propaganda on their
airways, they will have a re-think about BBC Hausa Service considering
their Prime Minister David Cameron’s tough stand against terrorism. BBC
top management must act now before it is too late.
Coming to our disagreement about the 2015 general election, whether it
should be conducted or not in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa State was very
interesting, frank and educative. We were both better informed after our
frank and polite discussion. That is the power of dialogue. The person
with superior reasoning and better well marshalled point will always carry
the day. No need to use violence.
Both of us had listened to the arguments of Atiku Abubukar, Mohammed Ali
Ndume who were insisting that elections must hold in those areas under the
Islamic Caliphate of Boko Haram. How that will be possible only Atiku
Abubukar, Ali Ndume and probably God will tell us.
As at today 21st September 2014, 350, 000 people have been displaced from
their homes in Yobe State. 650,000 people have been displaced from their
homes in Borno State.
While there is no exact number of persons displaced from their homes in
Adamawa State, the Daily Trust newspaper of Monday the 8th September 2014
reported that Michika town being occupied by the Boko Haram insurgence has
the largest population in Adamawa State and the town is now virtually
deserted. Other local governments in northern Adamawa have many of the
residence who fled to Yola and elsewhere for their dear lives.
The question now is why should this large population of voters lose their
franchise through no faults of theirs?
The Boko Haram sponsors cannot eat their cake and have it.
There is no way election will hold under the Islamic Caliphate of Boko Haram.
What will happen to the Christian voters that have been chased away and
displaced from their ancestral homes by the Boko Haram beasts?
The INEC must issue new voter’s card to all displaced persons in their
camps or their temporary abode for them to exercise their franchise to
vote otherwise no election in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa in 2015.
The so called ‘Boko Haram Islamic Caliphate’ map my friend called my
attention to in Sunday Trust is nothing but simply the most populated
Christian communities in the North Eastern Nigeria and now under the siege
and occupation of Boko Haram Islamic terrorists
The sources on Wikipedia and journals put the Christian population of
Gwoza local government in Borno State at 61%.
The Marghi Christian people of Madagali at 67%
The Joshua project and the Kibaku Development Association (KIDA) estimate
the Chibok Christian people of Borno State at 95%.
The Joshua project and the Wikipedia put the Christian population of
Michika Adamawa State at whopping 97%.
In this day and age of modernity, where every vote counts how and why must
these valuable voters be deprived of their rights to vote?
These are the communities who voted massively for Goodluck Jonathan in
2011 and will surely do same in 2015 and cannot be deliberately denied
this right by Boko Haram sponsored displacement.
The Born to Rule Cabal know what they are up to and are doing. That is why
they have used their militant wing Boko Haram to displace these people
from their ancestral homes.
Unfortunately they have shot themselves in the foot.
No election will take place where eligible voters have been displaced by
Boko Haram for political gain.
Therefore election will not hold in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States in
2015. Atiku Abubukar, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and Ali Ndume take note.
People who plotted and planted Boko Haram for their own political
advantage must fail.
