CHIEF OYEGUN, TRUTH AND ELECTORAL VICTORY! CONGRATS GOV. GODWIN OBASEKI

Chief Odigie Oyegun may not have been on various cameras and platform canvassing for the truth, where anti democratic forces were hell bent of trumping Mr. Godwin Obaseki from the APC in other to issue him the so called “Ambode Treatment” as acclaimed to some dethroned political light weights in today’s Edo state, but his steady insistence of truth, rule of law and democratic practises saw him speaking same to the powers that be in Abuja, an action that contributed in compelled the outcome of an excellent electoral exercise by all stakeholders comprisingof INEC, Security agencies and community leaders of all divides.

Chief Oyegun’s single act of speaking for Governor Godwin Obaseki, despite his decamping to the opposition and his decision to stick by him through all the turmoil showcases a true leader that believes in the ability of truth trouncing all that is associated with falsehood. Thereby liberating the very Edo society that had hitherto felt that truth can never be made to survive in our society. Thereby, displaying the just concluded Edo state elections as a new era not only for Edo state but also Nigeria, with a clear dispensation of Justice and Truth, clearly midwifed by Chief Odigie Oyegun and other stakeholders of like mind within and outside the state.

With the unexpected loss that hit the APC in Edo state, calls for sober reflection and a need to look inwards towards party supremacy, and the irreparable damage individualistic ego and gangsterism brings upon its fortunes. Stakeholders and the powers that be in the Villa that sits on the rock would be wise to use the Edo experiment and know the right stateman and political elder to approach, that posses the pedigree of truth and political sagacity in analysing and advising them as a party as they move forward towards 2023 and burdened with the sad reality of choosing a presidential candidate from the various powerful blocks that are seemingly in mad contention with each other to outwit each other within the same group.

It would be of immense wisdom for Gov. Godwin Obaseki to nourish and appreciate this priceless, great elder statesman who unlike any other, stood by him even when he crossed the sea to the other side, by honouring him for service and truth to Edo sate. The diaspora family know one thing for sure, the LEGEND did speak and the people listened and voted right.
