The Suleiman Scandal, a lesson for Religious leaders

“Wisdom is the principal thing and in all thy getting, get wisdom” (
Proverbs 4:7)

The Bible didn’t say anointing was the principal thing. It said wisdom was
the principal and in everything you get (including anointing) get wisdom.

You convert a stripper, a professional seductress and she wants your phone
number, wisdom demands you give her your wife’s or any female assistants
number before she will dis-anoint you. Speaking in this tongues or casting
and binding doesn’t answer to every case.

When it comes to lust of the flesh, the Bible in 2nd Timothy 2:22 said
FLEE. Bible didn’t say pray, or speak in tongues, or cast and bind, or
counsel, the Bible said FLEE.

An ex stripper is professional seductress and you are a man of God, not a
God of man. Man of God means, you are a man just like any other man. It
means you can’t be above being tempted . It means if you stare at a pair
of boobs for a long time you might experience some stirring in your loins.
A popular Warri proverb says ‘wetin you no wan chop, no bring am come your
nose ‘. Because you might start liking the aroma that comes from it .

If you are in doubt, look at the cases of anointed men of God in bible
times like king David, Sampson etc. They were all anointed but fell prey
to the lust of the flesh.

As a man of God, the wise thing to do was to flee or hand her over to your
wife’s ministry rather than opening communications with her. I’m sure she
won’t be asking your wife for money to set up her business if you had
stopped all communications with her.

Remember that “Evil communications corrupts good manners” ( 1st
Corinthians 15:33). The problem began with opening that communication
channel, it can lead to many things . It was when Eve began to communicate
with the serpent that she fell.

I do not believe most of the things Miss Stephanie Otobo said. It’s
obvious she is adding lots of pepper and salt to the gist. Just like this
one:

“He told me this was discreet, we couldn’t even call a taxi in the morning
when he wanted to discharge me, he had to take a walk with me from his
hotel by 4 a.m. to my hotel. I was worried because it could be dangerous,
in a place where I don’t know, a new country and everything. He walked me
to my hotel and stayed till 7am and went back to his hotel. He said
because we have to be discreet, we cannot call a taxi.” ( Stephanie Otobo)

So in order  to be discreet and not let people see you with a woman, you’d
rather walk her to her hotel than call a taxi for her. So much for being
discreet.

But in all of this, it seems possible that the pastor must have had an
‘inappropriate’ relationship with this lady.

This should be a lesson for other pastors and men of God.

Wisdom is the principal thing, flee from lust of the flesh, and avoid
certain communications.

Irrespective of how this plays out, Apostle Suleiman still remains a great
Christian pastor and his contribution to the growth of Christianity in
Nigeria can not be obliterated by this scandal .
