APC Governor Who Called Obi ‘My Boss’ Kneels Before Tinubu

by Our Reporter
Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State who publicly backed Peter Obi that it was a national disgrace to import food from Ukraine was summoned within 24 hours to face President Bola Tinubu, Pointblanknews.com leant.

Besides his lamentation, he had also called Obi ‘my boss.’

Pointblanknews.com reports that Obi had recently lamented the importation of food materials from war-torn Ukraine citing it as another example of the failure of government to lead.

He had called it as a national disgrace for Nigeria to import grain from the war torn Ukraine.

His words were fully endorsed by Governor Bago at the Leadership Newspaper Awards last Tuesday where he, Obi and some other governors were honoured with awards in different categories.

Speaking on the occasion, Bago said:

“My boss, (Obi) you are very right on what you’ve said. We have no reason to be poor. People may not like you, but they must hear you. What you say is the gospel truth.

“It is time we tell ourselves the basic truth. We need to feed ourselves. It is a shame for people (sic) like Ukraine in war to be giving us food.

“Nigeria needs to be productive. You cannot be out of poverty unless you start to produce. I’m not an advocate of handouts and palliative. I don’t believe in it.”

However, late on Thursday, a twitter handle, Nefertiti@firstladyship posted a picture of Governor Bago kneeling before President Tinubu with the insinuation that it was because he backed Obi and even called him my Boss.
