The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has cancelled the
election in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area in the Saturday’s Bayelsa
State governorship election.
INEC said the decision was taken because of violence, the abduction of
electoral officials and ballot box snatching. More details soon
Meanwhile, results so far announced by the Independent National Electoral
Commission, INEC, at the Bayesla Governorship elections shows the Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, leading the All Progressive Congress, APC.
PDP’s Seriaki Dickson is leading in six Local Governments out of the Seven
Local Governments announced so far by the INEC.
