The Federal Government on Wednesday said President Muhammadu Buhari is not
sick and not hospitalized.
This is contrary to the two letters the President sent to the National
Assembly prior to his departure where he requested to go on medical
vacation.
In the first letter to the National Assembly, President Buhari had said he
would use his leave to see his Doctors for his medicals. In he second
letter sent recently, the President requested for an extension of his
leave to complete his medicals.
But the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said
this while briefing State House correspondents said the President is
neither sick nor hospitalized.
He spoke after a meeting of the Federal Executive Council presided over by
the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo.
“The President is well, hale and hearty. He is not in any way in danger.
He is not ill and he is not in hospital,” he said.
The minister argued that if Buhari was in danger, ministers would not have
been going about their duties the way they are doing.
