No fewer than five people were killed by gun men on motor bike around 6 p.m on Tuesday at the Dakata axis of Kano, northern Nigeria.

Tension and apprehension have taken a toll in the comercial city since last Saturday after the attack on Emir Ado Bayero’s convoy claiming at least six lives.
The Emir and his two wounded sons were flown to the United Kingdom last Sunday for medical treatment.
Though Police sources described the Dakata attack as armed robbery, residents of the area said they heard several gun shots.
“I can confirm to you that gun men on motorbikes opened fire on a group of people playing draft. I counted five dead bodies and several others were wounded,” siad a resident.
As at the time of filling this report, Police and the Joint Task Force are yet to confirm the story.
Residents of the area who are inside town are apprehensive to go back home.
