SSS In Suspects Costume Scandal…As Police Still Holds Its Own Suspected Killer Of Oshimhole’s Aide

by Our Reporter

There appears to be something weird about the information the State Security Service (SSS), is feeding the public through her spokesperson, Marylin Ogar. For a while now Ogar has become the star of the agency who parades all sorts of characters alleged to be masterminds of sundry crimes. They range from alleged Boko Haram top guns , foot soldiers, to petty criminals and assassins. Most of those paraded by the service have never been prosecuted.

Then the macabre trend took a dramatic twist when the SSS contradicted the Police as regards who murdered Olaitan Oyerinde , late aide to Edo Governor, Adams Oshiomole. Even though the Headquarters of both the police and SSS are few blocks apart in Abuja, both amazingly gave Nigerians different sets of tales.

While the Police paraded an activist and Director of the African Network for Environmental and Economic Justice, Reverend David Ugulor as the sponsors of Oyerinde’s killers, the SSS  presented six suspects who ‘confessed’ to the crime. They are Mohammed Abdulahi, Raymond Origbo and Chikezie Edeh, while Saidu Yakubu, Sani Abubakar and Hassan Bashiru received the stolen items from Oyerinde’s home. So claimed Ogar.

Then another weird twist: A close look at the shirts worn by three of the six  SSS suspects reveals something very troubling. They spotted same shirts donned by the three Boko Haram suspects paraded  by SSS on March 12, 2012. The suspects Bashir Ibrahim, Ibrahim Habibu and Gambo Maiborodi were alleged to be part of the gang that kidnapped and murdered a Briton, Franco Lamonira in Sokoto on March 7, 2012.

The police is yet to set free Ugulor who is alleged to being subjected to sundry lousy treatment. The continued detention of the activist sparked a protest in Benin last week as the protesters called for his release. Neither Ogar nor the Police has been able to explain the conflict in suspects. Also Ogar is yet to explain how two sets of her suspects could appear in same dress.
