Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God has urged Nigerians to live a life of holiness and total obedience to attract God’s intervention in solving the nation’s problems.

Adeboye made the call on Monday evening in an address of welcome at the 60th annual convention of the church held at Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the one week event, which began on Monday, had the theme: “Coming up Higher’’.

Adeboye said that God was telling Nigerians to “come up higher through the highways of holiness, increased faith and purity to overcome the country’s numerous challenges’’.

The cleric said that Nigeria and its citizens could attain higher position and live above fear, failures and problems if they stopped their sinful acts.

“Genuine peace and true progress come to nations who put their trust in God.

“There is a place specially prepared for those who yield to the invitation to come up higher.

“Christians should not cease from praying to God for their varying needs until answer comes as delayed answer to prayer is not denial.

“There is room at the top for you, see you there,” he said.

In his goodwill message, Bishop Mike Okonkwo of the Redeemed Evangelical Mission, said that righteous living by Nigerians would eliminate insecurity and other vices.

He also urged Nigerians to seek God’s intervention for their country.

“What matters is man’s ability to locate God in his crisis, not the intensity of a person’s troubles,’’ he said. (NAN)
