IPOB leader: “seeks an order of the court to declare that the arrest of the Applicant in Kenya by the Respondents’ agents without due process of law is arbitrary, and the Respondents’ enforced disappearance of the Applicant for eight days and their refusal to produce the Applicant before a Kenyan Court for the purpose of Applicant’s extradition is illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional and amount to infringement of the Applicant’s fundamental right against arbitrary arrest, to his personal liberty and to fair hearing as enshrined and guaranteed under the pertinent provisions of CFRN and the Charter.”
In October 26, 2022, the Federal High Court sitting in Umuahia, ordered the Federal Government to pay N500 million damages to the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra for his forcible extradition and extraordinary rendition from Kenya.
However, satisfied with Bichi and Rufai’s resignation, Ejimakor opined: “Do you know that Ahmed Rufai who just resigned as DG, NIA & Yusuf Bichi, who was yesterday replaced as DG, DSS were vicariously responsible for the extraordinary rendition of MAZI NNAMDI KANU? Who is next?”
Yesterday, Tinubu appointed Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the NIA, while Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi was appointed as the new Director-General of the DSS.
Both replaced, Ahmed Rufai and Yusuf Bichi, respectively.
