Joint Task Force (JTF)in Maiduguri,Borno State says it killed 5 suspected Boko Haram Islamic sect last night when the sect attacked a military patrol team Vehicle in the state capital.
Pointblanknews.com also gathered from a source that three soldiers were killed as a result of the attack.
But Spokesman of JTF Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa only confirmed the killing of five suspected Boko haram terrorist in an e-maild statement today from Maiduguri.
” Five suspected Boko Haram terrorist were killed yesterday night where the attacked a JTF patrol team in their vehicle. Fuel Propelled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was used by the terrorists during the attack which resulted to fire outbreak that burnt some adjoining shops in the area.” Musa said in the email statement.
The spokesman added that two soldiers and a teenager sustained injury as a result of the encounter “but normalcy has been restored in the area as people are going about their normal activities unhindered.”
