“Despite Economic Challenges, We’ll Create wealth to Empower our People”

The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai
Osanebi has declared  that the present economic challenge can’t be a
yardstick for political office holders not to empower their people; saying
that any purposeful leader will be proactive always to create wealth, so
that the people can be  empowered and enhance the redistribution of wealth
and prosperity of Deltans according the prosperity agenda of Governor
Ifeanyi Okowa.

The ‘Empowerment Master’ gave the charge in Ossissa and Ashaka, Ndokwa East
Local Government Area of Delta State in a thank you tour,  when he gave out
Two Million Naira to twenty women to boost micro businesses in the area in
order to further empower and engage other persons, in line with the
prosperity agenda of the Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

Thanking the people for their unalloyed support for his party, the PDP and
for voting her in the last general election, the Deputy Speaker revealed
that it is the duty of public office holders to positively affect the lives
of their people and transform the areas where they come from, through
effective law making, purposeful representation and other processes and
avenue of governance;  because these amongst others  are the essence of
democracy and political representation.  He gave this charge while he
reassured Ndokwa people and Deltans at large that the present
administration of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is ready to match words with
action. Hear him: “as a person I don’t see the present global economic
challenge as a reason not to return to the society that has empowered you,
because I was raised to always give thanks to God, irrespective of any
situation. The challenges we face today as a nation and state, is working
out for our good”.

Declaring that he is now better placed as Deputy Speaker to do more, he
revealed that youths and people of Ndokwa nation had never experienced it
good like this, with young leaders that have been politically empowered by
Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to be channels of blessing to the  people. He said
this while thanking the Governor for His magnanimity thus far coupled with
his good agenda for Ndokwa nation. He further introduced the two Members
representing Ndokwa East and West on the Board of the Delta State Oil
Producing Areas Development Commission  (DESOPADEC), Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi,
Hon. Fidelix Oputa ( Flenjor) respectively and reassured the people that
with the duo of Hon. Nnamdi and Flenjor onboard, it’s better days ahead for
Ndokwa People.

Expressing his preparedness for a holistic approach of the empowerment and
transformation needs of Ndokwa People, the Deputy Speaker disclosed that
the DESOPADEC members will focus attention on youth empowerment, the
commissioner representing Ndokwa East in the Delta State Executive Council,
Hon. Chika Ossai will focus on the empowerment needs of the elders while he
focuses and pay full attention to his empowerment scheme for women, widows
and orphans.

The Deputy Speaker further said that he is not ignorant of the urgent
infrastructural demand of Ndokwa Nation but urged the people to be
supportive and patient with this present administration, emphasizing that
the government will match words with action.
