Gov. Dickson Of Bayelsa State Resumes Duty After A 2 Week Vacation

The Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson has returned to the state after a 2 week vacation.

On arrival at about 3 O’ clock on Wednesday afternoon, Governor Dickson inspected a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the Nigeria Police attached to Government House, Yenagoa.

Speaking in an interview with Government House correspondents, Governor Dickson, who expressed his delight to be back to the state, stated that he is prepared more than ever before to carry on the business of governance.

He also thanked members of the restoration team particularly his Deputy Governor, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (Rtd), for holding fort while he was away.

Governor Dickson re-assured Bayelsans of his administration’s commitment to deliver the dividends of democracy.

On hand to receive the Governor, were the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Konbowei Benson, members of the State House of Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Edmund Allison- Oguru and some members of the State Executive Council.
