Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has urged contractors handling
on-going projects in the state to increase their pace of work so as to
ensure their speedy completion.
Governor Uduaghan who stated this at the weekend in Sapele while
addressing traders after inspecting the on-going construction work at the
Sapele Main Market said that the state government was determined to
complete all ongoing projects meant to enhance the business and
investment environment of the state and improve the economy stating that
the construction work at the Sapele main market which has reached an
advanced stage would be stepped up so as to complete it soonest and
lessen the burden faced by the traders.
While urging the traders to be patient and maintain peace in the market,
he appealed to them to evacuate the major road to the market to enable
rehabilitation work to continue disclosing that the arrangements have been
concluded for the allocation of the already completed 960 stalls in the
market to the traders pending the completion of the project.
