Kano Signs Agreement For Construction Of Bridges

The Kano State Government on Thursday signed an agreement for the construction of four over-head bridges and two fly-overs in Kano City.

Signing the contract, the state’s Commissioner for Works Housing and Transport, Alhaji Abba Kabir, warned the contractor to make use of standard materials.

He said that any breach of the contract agreements would attract a legal action by the State Government.

The head of TEC Construction Company, who won the award, Mr Xia Jing, pledged to comply with provisions of the contract.

He said that his firm had handled other quality jobs in Kano and other places in Nigeria, saying that they would put in their best to ensure timely completion of the job.

NAN reports that Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso’s administration had on inception pledged to decongest Kano through the construction of two fly overs in the metropolis. (NAN)
