Says resignation letter forged

Factional Labour Party presidential candidate, Chief Jude Ezenwafor has dismissed what he called rumours that he stepped down his presidential bid for a former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi

Ezenwafor, a former chairman of the party in Anambra State, was reportedly elected Wednesday at the end of the party’s presidential primary election.
However, Obi, who recently fefe Ted from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is laying claim to the party’s presidential ticket.

Speaking exclusively to Pointblanknews.com, Ezenwafor said he’s won the primary election faur and square, and expressed surprise that the former governor would leave the PDP to come and “harass” small party chieftains like him.

He dismissed as fake a letter of resignation purportedly emanating from him and addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He said, “Those who have been promising me heaven on earth have now resorted to blackmailing me. They began by threatening to use their e-rats on social media to destroy me. When it didn’t work, they began promising paradise.

“The letterhead they even used is comical. How do I print my letterhead and misspell my surname on it? Isn’t it laughable? They’ve been throwing everything at me, thinking I would buckle. They are shocked I’m still standing my high moral ground.

“They even promised to buy me off, but I rejected their offer, insisting that the right thing be done. That they recognize the true leadership of our party. That is all. This has been the most difficult week of my life. But I’m happy that I’m standing by the truth, and have refused to sell my conscience for them to sponsor my senatorial or house of representatives election,” he said .

“They think they have the money to buy everyone. The same people who moved from PDP to APGA in 2003, only to dump APGA for PDP in 2011 or so, now want to hijack our small party,” he declared, stressing that he remained the only presidential candidate for LP
