Niger Delta leaders extol Buhari, move to stop Dickson

Niger Delta leaders on Wednesday praised President Muhammadu Buhari for
bringing about a more dynamic way of administering the affairs of the
country.

They also commended him for getting world powers to help Nigeria in
fighting terrorism, invigorating the fight against Boko Haram by rallying
a regional and global front against the terror group, restoring Nigeria’s
integrity and intensifying the fight against corruption.

Rising from a meeting in Abuja, the leaders advised him to continue with
his good work.

“We expect him to win the race against poverty, against corruption and
against official indifference, complacency and compromise” they said.

A statement from the office of the spokesperson of The People’s Movement
(TPM), Mrs. Ibifuro Thompson Tatua praised Mr. President for charting a
fresh course towards social and political reforms in this country.

The statement also praised him for working to correct the state of decay,
dislocation and deterioration in the country.

Urging Nigerians to join hands with Buhari to strengthen the pillar of
good governance, the statement extolled former Bayelsa State governor,
Chief Timipre Sylva for his prudent management and deployment of scarce
resources, describing him as a God fearing leader.

“Leadership goes with creativity, sensitivity, compassion, innovation,
courage, vision, character, competence, focus, passion, responsibility,
self-discipline, service delivery and a very high dosage of patriotism.
Timipre Sylva is an embodiment of transparency and accountability” the
statement said.

“Seriake Dickson is a clueless, visionless, reckless and feckless
governor. Thank goodness that a level of democracy still exists in Nigeria
and in November 2015, the people will have their say and do what is
necessary to save the state” the statement added.
