The Governor urged them to repackage the association so as to make the best out of the society. He said that the society is obsessed with people who are interested in what they get out of governance than what they can put into it, stressing that NANS can identify with developmental issues in the society to make its existence better and relevant to the society and to demonstrate the spirit of service to humanity.
The Governor therefore thanked NANS for the award of life membership of the organization to him and donated two buses to the association for their smooth operations.

He said that it was on the premise of these sterling qualities that the association has agreed to honor the Governor with a life membership award which comes up on 14th February 2013 at the International Conference Center Abuja. Stressing that this award is just for two preferred Nigerians, the President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
