The Commissioner for Works in Ondo State, Mr Gboye Adegbenro, has assured the people that the state government would effectively executive all road projects in the state.
Adegbenro gave the assurance on Tuesday in Akure while briefing newsmen on the activities of the ministry.
The commissioner said that the ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects embarked on by the government were aimed at satisfying the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the state.
He said that the state government had complied with the best engineering practice in the execution of all road projects.
“The government is not building roads for any political reason but for social wellbeing of the people and overall development of the state.
“Road construction cannot be carried out effectively in engineering unless the stone base of such road has already been laid before the rains set in,’’ he said.
He said that the present administration in the state was not in a hurry to complete any project that would not stand the test of time.
Adegbenro further assured the people that the state government would also complete all the ongoing road projects as scheduled. (NAN)
