Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko has disclosed that he will declare his intent whether to run for governor for the second term on Wednesday 25th July, 2012.
The Governor stated this on Wednesday, while addressing members of the Igala Community in the state who trooped his office to declare their support for his re-election bid.
He said his administration has been running an all inclusive government in the past three and a half years devoid of any discrimination to religious or ethnic groups in the state.
Mimiko while expressing his appreciation to members of Igala Communities for commiserating with him on the death of some leaders of the Students Union in the state, said that his government would continue to run an egalitarian government that will be fair to all residents of Ondo State.
The Governor also thanked the Igala people for giving the assurance of their supports to him and his administration in Ondo State.
The leader of the Igala Community (a tribe from Kogi State) in Ondo state, Mrs Blessing Imajiede, in her address told the Governor that members of her Community had been watching with keen interest the various developmental programmes of the State Government.
She also stated that they are in total support of Dr Mimiko for the second term in office, having been direct beneficiaries of the various empowerment programmes of the present administration in the state.
Imajiede promised her people’s continuous cooperation with the government and the people of Ondo State to ensure more development in the state.
