Ongoing Projects To Be Completed Soon; Says Okorocha

Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha has assured that over 3000 kilometer of road projects embarked upon by his administration would be completed before the expiration of his tenure.

Okorocha disclosed this while inspecting some ongoing road projects in the state.

He promised that Akachi road that linked wetheral road to Aba road which is one of the important roads must be completed before December.

The governor explained that despite some challenges, his government will asphalt all the grade A roads that is up to 60% – 70% completion while that of grade  B roads will have surface dressing and grade C will be graded to appreciable level that will make them motor able for the people.

Okorocha said that as soon as the rains are over, and with the opening of all the roads completed in the state, Imo will no longer be in dark ages rather, as will give the state the desired looks and standard it should be.

The governor added that the roads in Orlu and Okigwe that are also undergoing
construction would be completed soon.

He expressed optimism that with the opening of all access roads in the state, economic and commercial strength of the state will increase to an enviable level to attract more investors in the state..

The governor was accompanied on the inspection visit by the Deputy Governor, who is also the commissioner for Works, Jude Agbaso and members of the State Executive Council.
