All the fifteen officers elected as assistants of the present State Working Committee (SWC) members have pledged their loyalties to the Chief Idowu Faleye-led Executive of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State.
Addressing the press at the party secretariat on Monday, the leader of the team who is also the state Ex-offico of the party, Chief Femi Robinson said that all the junior executive members of the party are loyal to the state Chairman Chief Idowu Faleye and the Governor of the state, Mr Ayodele Fayose.
He said that all the allegations that they were part of those who rebel against the party was a mere rumour, saying there wasn’t any meeting where they supported the removal of the chairman as the rebel claimed.
The PDD officers promised to rededicate their commitment to the party and said that they will never be part of anything that can destabilise the party.
In the same vein, members from Erinmope Ekiti stormed the party secretariat to submit a letter dissociating themselves from the participation of one of their leader, Folorunsho Oladipo who the dissident group claimed to be their public relation officer.
The leader of the delegation, Mr Babalola Amira told journalists after the submission that the person involved did not consult any member of the party either in his ward or the town before he decided to join those who were trying to form a parallel Executive committee in the state, adding that this has necessitated their coming to dissociate themselves from the activities of the man in question.
“We are here to dissociate ourselves from the rebellion of some people in the party especially one of our leader in Erinmope Ekiti who has decided to join the dissidents.
“We have strong confidence in chairmanship of Chief Idowu Faleye and his state working committee members,” they said.
