by Our Reporter

Rivers State Government said on Friday that it was working hard to stabilise the distribution of petroleum products in the state.

Mr Gogo Fiberesima, the Chairman, Rivers State Petroleum Distribution Monitoring Committee (RPDMC) said this in Port Harcourt while briefing newsmen.

He said the committee was ready to realise government’s vision of ensuring regular supply of petroleum products in the state.

‘’Rivers State Petroleum Products Distribution Monitoring Committee is poised toward actualising government’s vision of ensuring availability of the products for economic growth,’’ he said

Fiberesima said the state was serious about tackling the problems militating against the distribution of the products allocated to it.

He said the state government wanted to end the problems once and for all and warned against hoarding or diversion of the products.

Fiberesima said that any person caught hoarding the products would be brought to justice and appealed to the security agencies to assist in the fight against product theft and adulteration.

The chairman said his committee would live above board in the performance of its assignment. (NAN)
