Speaking to journalists at the end of the visit, Wamako explained that the exchange visit is another way of encouraging peaceful co-existence amongst the various ethnic groups in the country.
I am here because of the resolution of the Governors Forum for us to exchange visit and engage in peer review. Governors will visit their colleagues across the nation and see how they carry out development activities and learn from each other. I am here to see what my friend and colleague is doing in Abia and how he is doing it, and learn from here as well, he said.
On the state of the Umuahia Aba section of the Enugu Port Harcourt Expressway, Wamako said, the road I saw is in deplorable condition. It is a Trunk A road. There is urgent need to rehabilitate the road.
During the visit, the governor commissioned two roads in Umuahia including the dualized Bende road. He also visited Flour Mills Company at Aba, stressing that there are a lot of areas where the two states could collaborate with each other to ensure development.
