Popular Yoruba movie actress, Temitope Solaja, has opened up about undergoing Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery, stating clearly that her decision had nothing to do with impressing men or keeping up with fashion trends.
In a candid interview on the Talk to B podcast on Saturday, the actress, fondly called “Star Girl” by fans, said the procedure was purely a personal decision aimed at boosting her self-confidence and feeling good in her body.
“I didn’t do the surgery to impress any man. Not at all. It wasn’t for attention seeking. I did it for myself. It was something I had always wanted to do to enhance my body and boost my confidence,” Solaja said.
She added that while many celebrities are pressured into making body-altering decisions due to public opinion or to stay relevant in the industry, her choice was deeply personal and not influenced by external validation.
The actress, who has starred in several hit Yoruba films and produced successful projects of her own, stressed that she owes nobody an explanation for her lifestyle choices.
She, however, hopes that by speaking out, she can help break the stigma around cosmetic surgery and encourage people, especially women, to prioritize their happiness.
“As long as it makes you happy and you’re not hurting anyone, go for it,” she said, adding that self-love remains her biggest motivation.
Her revelation has sparked a wave of reactions online, with fans and fellow actresses applauding her honesty and openness in addressing the topic.
