We don’t want Anambra foreign governors again -GAFORUM

by Our Reporter

Greater Anambra Forum (GAFORUM) has reiterated that the state would not
accept any person, who is not home grown to be governor again in the
state

Chief facilitator of the group, Chief Febian Ozoigbo made this known
while speaking to this reporter in Awka, Anambra state capital  on
Wednesday.

He described  those non  home grown/ foreign   governors’ as grafted
trees that cannot produce the original.

According to him, the state needs a home grown governor, a person even
before he comes in  knows the value of his people parametrically on what
to do.

He said the state did not need somebody who  is coming on an utopia
value  just because he wants to be governor or make money.

“For any person to just rule Anambra state, he has just to be born here,
must have been bred anywhere. He must have serious  contact with the
state, either, he is doing business here, working here or comes home
often as he/she could.

“Those who have ruled Anambra well were those who are on ground and
connected with system before becoming governors.

“Those who had just came from outside to be the governors of the state,
if you watch them closely, they don’t know about the state and hardly
perform well. When you talk about roads, they think only about Enugu-
Onitsha roads or those roads leading to their own homes” he said.

Ozoigbo also said that the zoning arrangements in the state was created
and ordianed by God and nobody can stop it again.

“Those who do not have the knowledge of how God started the zoning in
the state have been claiming the glory, it is only God that started it
and nobody else.

“God is using GAFORUM to get back to what he had established long in the
state” he said.

According to him, it is the turn of the Anambra South to produce the
next governor  comes  2021, because it has gone round the three zones.

He berated those who  were claiming that the zoning formula would
produce mediocres, saying that if there are anything like mediocrity, it
should not  be mentioned in Anambra because the state had produce ‘who
is who’ in the country, which most came from Anambra South.

The group comprise of  technocrats, professionals, politicians, leaders
of associations, trade unions, religious bodies, and others.
