The Director General, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mr. Mike Omeri has described the death of Kaduna State Governor, Patrick Yakowa and former National Security Adviser, General Andrew Azazi in a chopper crash yesterday as shocking, monumental and most unfortunate.
In a statement, Mr. Omeri said the two men were key figures of our democracy and security as a nation and their departure has left a great sore in the heart of Nigerians. He regretted that their demise came while showing love and solidarity to their fellow countryman in grief, indicative of the bond of unity that exists among Nigerians across all divides.
The NOA helmsman urged Nigerians to learn from the devotion of these two great icons, both to their father land and to their countrymen, and emulate their spirit of patriotism which they displayed while alive. He prayed the Almighty to grant the families of Yakowa and Azazi and in deed the entire nation the fortitude to bear this great loss even as Nigerians take solace in their worthy examples.
