Labour Party to discipline Otti, says Governor a bad representation of the party

The leadership of the Labour Party has replied the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti against his choice of words to the party on a national television on Friday 2nd May 2025 which the party sees as abusive.

In response, the National Chairman, Bar Julius Abure says “dwarfy” men used to be men of great ideas but Governor Otti who is not only dwarf in appearance but also dwarf in knowledge” as he refers Governor Otti.

The response was made today at the National Executive Council meeting of the Labour Party at the party’s National Secretariat Abuja.

The National Chairman of the Party, Bar Julius Abure while briefing Members of the party and Journalists says it is appropriate to respond to Gov Otti, who he says, thinks it is only him that has been Governor, the Party also regrets the actions of the only Governor of the party who the party made to be Governor.

Labour Party however express worries as they continues to see Governor Otti as a bad representation of the party and his misinformation of the public on the supreme court judgement.

According to Abure, the Supreme Court decision was very clear and unambiguous as it says the issue of leadership of political parties are domestic affairs.

The NEC of the Labour Party however sets up a disciplinary committee to look into the anti-party activities of Governor Otti and other party members and the committee were to report to the within two weeks for necessary action.
