The House of Representatives has commended OrderPaper Nigeria, Africa’s foremost independent parliamentary monitoring organization, for its recent brand transformation and sustained commitment to promoting legislative transparency, civic engagement, and good governance.
Recognizing OrderPaper’s pivotal role in shaping public discourse around legislative processes, the House described the organization as a critical partner in its quest to deepen democratic accountability and citizen participation.
Speaking on behalf of the Green Chamber, the Spokesperson of the House, Hon. Akin Rotimi, Jr., lauded the organization’s renewed vision under the leadership of its Founder, Mr. Oke Epia.
He noted that for nearly a decade, OrderPaper Nigeria has consistently deployed data-driven journalism, policy analysis, and meticulous reportage to bridge the gap between parliament and the people.
“OrderPaper’s brand refresh is not just cosmetic, it symbolizes a deepened resolve to innovate around civic participation and transparency,” Rotimi stated. “We applaud the new identity and the critical work being done through platforms like ParliamentReports.com, which delivers real-time intelligence, data analysis, and expansive coverage of legislative activities at the national and state levels.”
He further emphasized that the 10th Assembly, under the leadership of Speaker Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, remains unwavering in its commitment to legislative integrity, openness, and inclusion.
According to Speaker Abbas: “We warmly embrace the renewed identity of OrderPaper Nigeria as a dynamic institution contributing significantly to the advancement of democracy. The 10th House values principled civic participation and will continue to prioritize initiatives that strengthen democratic institutions. Partners like OrderPaper help reinforce the social contract between the people and their legislature.”
The House also acknowledged OrderPaper’s trailblazing initiatives such as Scorecard Nigeria and the Most Valuable Parliamentarian (MVP) Hall of Fame, noting that such efforts are raising the standard for legislative accountability and performance evaluation in Nigeria.
In reaffirming its dedication to fostering responsible governance, the House expressed openness to continued collaboration with media organizations and civil society groups championing evidence-based policymaking and citizen-focused legislative oversight.
