‎The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation has partnered the Nigerian Civil Service to boost reforms, stepping in as Diamond Partner at the inaugural International Civil Service Conference (ICSC) held from June 25–26, 2025, in Abuja.
‎The Foundation’s partnership with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) is aimed at deepening reforms in the public sector, focusing on building a more effective and digitally driven civil service.
‎Over the years, both parties have worked on strategic initiatives such as the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP25), digital transformation projects, and civil service capacity-building. A key target is to train 3,000 highly effective civil servants within the next decade, equipping them with the skills and leadership needed to drive lasting reform.
‎Speaking on the collaboration in a statement on Wednesday, Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, Executive Vice Chair of the Foundation said, “This collaboration reflects our belief in the power of a world-class Civil Service to shape Africa’s future. The Foundation remains committed to building a public sector that truly delivers for all Africans.”
‎This year’s conference also marked the expansion of the Emily Aig-Imoukhuede Endowment Fund. Backed by the Foundation, the Fund rewards civil servants who exemplify excellence, integrity, and innovation.
‎Two new award categories have been introduced – introduced the N500,000 Presidential Civil Service Merit Award and the N250,000 EPIC Award from the Head of Service. Since inception, the Fund has disbursed over N50m to 111 recipients.
‎The Foundation has played a key role in driving the digitalisation of the OHCSF, leading to similar reforms in other ministries, departments, and agencies of the government.
