The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday expelled Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chief Nyesom Wike, the party’s National Secretary Sen. Samuel Anyanwu and legal adviser Kamaldeen Ajibade.
Others expelled are former governor of Ekiti State Ayo Fayose, National Organizing Secretary Umaru Bature, former Vice Chairman, South South, Dan Orbih, South-South Zonal Secretary, George Turner, North Central Vice Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed, Imo State Chairman Austin Nwachukwu, former Presidential Aspirant Mao Ohuanunwa, and Abia PDP Chairman Abraham Ammah.
The party took the decision at it’s National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State following a motion moved by former Vice Chairman South West Bode George and seconded by Bauchi state Chairman Samaila Burga.
The National Working Committee of the party had earlier suspended Anyanwu and four others for working against the interest of the party.
They further through a motion moved by Plateau State governor, Caleb Muftwang and seconded by Barr. Dame Ime Udoh moved a motion for the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) that came on board in 2022.
