Abia state on Saturday literally stood still for Barr. Friday Nwosu as he hosted two state chief executives; Gov. Theodore Orji of Abia state and his Bayelsa State counterpart, Chief Henry Seriake Dickson during the tradition wedding ceremony of his daughter, Miss Faustina Nwosu.
The ceremony which held at his country home, Mgboko Umuoria in Obingwa local council of the state attracted a capacity crowd who came to identify with the man who is believed to harbour ambition for Abia Government House in 2015.
Pointblanknews.com observed that there were various groups from the three senatorial districts of the state who graced the ceremony singing the praises of the Abuja based legal practitioner, calling on him to join the governorship race in 2015.
Security agents had a hectic time directing motorists at the old Aba “Umuahia road as friend and admirers of the Nwosus struggled to find spaces to park their vehicles.
In all, the record attendance and calibre of people at the occasion would continue to be a reference point in Abia political circles, particularly in the build up to the governorship election in 2015.
Speaking at the occasion, Gov. Dickson expressed appreciation to his Abia counterpart for his continued support for the policies and programmes of the Federal Government and described him as a brother and friend of Bayelsa State.
He stressed the need to strengthen the relationship existing between the Government and people of Abia State and their Bayelsa counterparts.
Gov. Dickson further commended Gov.Orji for his achievements, particularly in security and charged him to sustain his efforts at bringing at bringing positive change in the state and Nigeria.
The Bayelsa state governor described Barr. Nwosu is a bosom friend as well as a former classmate and colleague in the Nigerian Police, university and law school and noted the latter’s supportive roles to him both in politics and other fields of human endeavour, adding that the Abia State born lawyer has always stood by him and was instrumental to some of his achievements as a member of the House of Representatives.
Gov. Dickson may have given credence to rumoured interest of his friend to emerge Abia governor in 2015 when he promised to return to the state on an occasion with as many as 10 governors in no distant time.
In his remarks, Gov. Orji who left the ceremony before his counterpart expressed appreciation to him for gracing the occasion.
Orji stated that his support for President  Goodluck Jonathan remains unshaken, adding that he has  moved Abia from an opposition group to a major and reliable player at the centre of national politics.
Other dignitaries who graced the ceremony include the Abia state deputy governor, Chief Emeka Ananaba; his predecessor, Chief Acho Nwakanma; Abia PDP chairman, Senator Emma Nwaka; Commissioner for Housing, Chief Okezie Orji; Member representing Obingwa West state constituency, Hon. Uche Nwankpa; Transition Committee chairman of Obingwa LGA, Hon. Eze Walton; Elder Godwin Nna; amongst others.
