The Executive Council of Ogun State Congress for Progressive Change, CPC wishes to inform the general public of its decision taken at its general congress of party officials and leaders of Wednesday 5th and Friday, 7thJune 2013 respectively as follows:
• That the meeting was convened and chaired by the suspended acting chairman, Mr Kunle Mudashiru, where several allegations bordering on misappropriation of party finances, maladministration and extortion of money from unsuspecting sympathizers of the party was levied against him
• That Mr Kunle Mudashiru rather than attend to various accusations from his deputy chairman, Mr Talabi (now Acting Chair of the party), Treasurer, Mr Olatunji Oladosu, Financial Secretary, Mrs Bola Adeyemi, Woman Leader, Yeye Adeyemi Aderemi, Youth Leader, Pastor Tony Amos among other key members resorted bragging that there is nothing anybody can do to him before storming out of the meeting in contempt of all party officials, leaders and members in attendance
• That the meeting in accordance with party discipline and rules therefore passed a vote of no confidence on Mr Kunle Mudashiru and a motion for his suspension and consequent trial by the party disciplinary was subsequently moved and adopted by the house
• That an acting Chairman in person of Talabi Akinbile, hirtherto deputy chair of the party was immediately appointed in acting capacity until Mr Kunle Mudashiru is absolved by a disciplinary panel set up to try him
• An 11 man merger committee was also set up in accordance with the national resolution and projection of the party. The merger committee under the chairmanship of Engr Abiodun Onafuwa was mandated to commence the groundwork towards a successful merger with other progressive parties in the country and to report back to the exco led by Mrs Talabi Akinbile
• That the suspended acting chair Kunle Mudashiru is advised in his interest to return all party properties in his custody to the Acting Chair, Mrs Talabi Akinbile or he will be declared wanted and handed over to law enforcement agency
• That the national leadership of the party, led by Prince Tony Momoh has been officially notified of this development as the party in ogun state has lost confidence in the neutrality of the southwest chairman of the party to intervene in this matter
• Any intervention set up directly by the southwest chairman, Hon Rasaq Musa shall not be recognized as he is evidently deemed to be an interested party in the crisis given his spirited effort so far to foist his stooge, Kunle Mudashiru, as a conduit pipe on the party at all cost
• The party also deemed it imperative to suspend both the former legal adviser, Mr Taju Idris and Publicity secretary, Mr Sina Oduntan given their various complicity in the misdemeanor of the former chairman and for renting dugs against party officials and leaders
• That the general public, law enforcement agencies and sympathizers of the party are advised to beware of the antics of the suspended officials of the party
