Uduaghan to address LSE Roundtable on Nigeria

The Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, will be the
special guest of honour at a Business Roundtable on Nigeria hosted by the
London Stock Exchange (LSE) where he will espouse the roadmap inherent in
his Delta Beyond Oil initiative as a model for Nigeria in diversifying her
economy.
The Roundtable which holds on Tuesday, March 11 in London is part of the
Commonwealth Day Observance where Queen Elizabeth will be in attendance.
According a press statement by Chike Ogeah, Delta State Commissioner for
Information, the Roundtable will feature interaction between the Nigerian
delegation and the City of London financial institutions and European
CEOs. The interactive parallel sessions will involve young bright minds
and emerging leaders and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) at the
LSE introducing Nigeria as the powerhouse of Africa and sharing thoughts
on the future of Nigeria
A symposium by the House of Lords on the future of Nigeria and the growing
economic strength of its states will also hold on Tuesday. Ogeah who is
accompanying the governor on the trip said Dr. Uduaghan will in his speech
outline the features of the Delta Beyond Oil initiative under which his
administration has anchored the drive to exploit the non-oil sector of the
state’s economy, develop agriculture and boost employment.
Other features of the London event designed to also mark Nigeria’s
centenary include one-to-one business/trade and investment meeting
opportunity with investors with interest in Nigeria and Africa and VIP
dinner and award night to celebrate Nigeria’s centennial.
Also in the governor’s delegation is his special adviser on foreign
relations, Oma Djeba.
