52 Foreign Coys For Akwa Fair 2012

Fifty two foreign companies from 28 countries will participate in the Akwa Ibom International Trade Fair, “Akwa Fair 2012’’scheduled for December.

Mr Obong Ebong, the Chairman of Akwa Ibom International Trade Fair, said during the inauguration of the fair’s Central Working Committee (CWC) on Tuesday in Uyo.

“The 2012 Akwa trade fair is an initiative of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) to queue into and complement the state government’s industrialisation drive.

“It would be unforgivable if the state indigenes fail to take advantage of the number of infrastructure being put in place to stimulate the economy,” he said.

Ebong, who is also the NIPS Marine and Maritime Consultant Nigeria Ltd., solicited the cooperation of the Uyo Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture (UYOCCIMMA), the public and the press to make the fair a success.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Akwa 2012 Trade Fair has 12 objectives which include harnessing the OPS potential in the development of the state’s and national economy.

The others are the facilitation of the state’s industrialisation drive, the Federal Government Transformation Agenda and the actualisation of Vision 20:20 20.
